Prefab Mobile House — Guest Lodge, Garden Residence or Showroom

This is the long version of the cabin: a low, stretched shell that fits a living room and a dining area in the same space, with glass running down one side.

Where pod cabins squeeze one function into one room, this house is laid out like a small home — sofa in the middle, table and chairs at the end — and the glazing makes that length work, turning the whole inner wall into a window. The exterior is quiet and deliberate: light grey horizontal siding in a low rectangular form with softened corners, a flat corrugated metal roof above, and four silver lifting loops along the top edge — the hardware that tells you this is a building designed to be moved. The front is almost entirely glazed: black-framed glass runs along the elevation, with large fixed panes flanking a pair of glass double doors that swing open; at each end sits a window with a large lower pane and a smaller upper hopper pane that opens in rain. Black frames against pale siding give the facade definition. Inside: white walls, pale floor, flat ceiling — a white modular sofa in the centre and a dining table with chairs to the right, with insulation, wiring, lighting, and finishes installed at the factory.

Prefab Mobile House — Guest Lodge, Garden Residence or Showroom Description

  1. A long plan that holds a real living space — extended footprint separates sitting from eating without furniture colliding; for guest accommodation, a garden residence, or a studio, the layout makes the unit a place to live rather than a place to sleep.
  2. Glazing along the whole elevation — daylight reaches the entire interior, not just the end with the window; the glass makes a long low room feel open and works both ways — inside sees out, outside sees a lit, furnished interior.
  3. Glass double doors that open the front — swing wide, connecting the room directly to a deck, terrace, or garden; open, the interior becomes part of the outdoors; closed, the glazing keeps the visual connection.
  4. Hopper windows at each end for wet-weather ventilation — smaller upper panes tilt out at the bottom, venting the room while keeping rain out; cross-ventilation with both ends open keeps a long room fresh without relying on the doors.
  5. Four roof lifting loops, ready for the crane — crane or forklift, flatbed transport, set-down on site; moves like the prefabricated building it is, and the same loops bring it back when the site changes.
  6. Corrugated roof built to shed water — handles rain over a long span without pooling; continuous surface keeps the unit weathertight across the full footprint — practical where a long building would otherwise collect water mid-span.
  7. Soft corners, residential profile — rounded corners and horizontal siding keep the house from reading as a container; sits comfortably in residential or resort settings; low silhouette doesn’t dominate the plot.
  8. A finished interior, delivered with the shell — walls, flooring, ceiling, wiring, lighting installed at the factory; the buyer adds furniture and connects services — no site construction, no trades, no fit-out phase.

Prefab Mobile House — Guest Lodge, Garden Residence or Showroom Applications

  1. Resort and guest-house rooms — a guest room with living space and a view, positioned to face the landscape; guests get a sofa and a table rather than a bed and a chair; double doors open to a private deck; movable as the property reallocates its best positions.
  2. Garden residences and guest suites — a separate living space at the back of a property; the long plan separates sitting from dining; glazed front keeps it bright; repositioned or removed if the garden changes.
  3. Display homes and showroom units — a model home or sales suite where the building itself is the product; glazed elevation shows the finished interior to passers-by; furnished layout visible from outside; relocates between sites or developments.
  4. Retreat and wellness residences — self-contained residence at a retreat where guests stay for days; full-length glazing connects accommodation to the landscape; hopper windows air the room without letting weather in.
  5. Farm and rural guest accommodation — rooms for guests, seasonal workers, or family; looks like a proper dwelling rather than a site hut; sits on prepared footings with no major groundwork; moves between paddocks or properties.
  6. Corporate and staff residences — accommodation for site management, long-stay contractors, or key staff where a finished presentable residence matters; arrives furnished-ready; relocates when the project moves on.
  7. Studio and workshop residences — a creative studio with living space attached, or a workshop with an office area; separate zones; glazed front provides the light creative work needs; configured to the buyer’s layout.
  8. Seasonal and event housing — villages, lodges, and seasonal accommodation appearing for a season and disappearing after; arrive complete, stand in an ordered row, lifted out at season’s end — leaving nothing behind.
